Telehop App for Android™
Downloading the app via our website:
- On your Android device, open the Applications menu and click on 'Settings'.
- Select 'Applications' from the Settings menu and make sure that 'Unknown Sources' is checked (you can change this setting back after the current installation is complete).
- Go to our download page, and enter your email (must be accessible via your Android device) or mobile number.
- Once you receive our email or SMS, click on the link provided to download the Telehop app.
- Once download is complete, open the 'Notifications list' on your Android device, or return to the home screen and pull down on the Status bar (at the top of the screen) to see the list of newly-downloaded files.
- Click on the Telehop Mobile file name.
- To install the app, click on the install button at the bottom of the screen.
When downloading from our website, you must 'allow install of non-Market applications'.
Using the Telehop app for the first time:
- Once downloaded, launch the Telehop app.
- Click on 'Settings' at the bottom of the screen.
- Enter your mobile number.
- Enter your valid email.
- Tap on 'Update Profile'.

You will receive an SMS with your Activation PIN shortly. Once you receive it, enter the code.
NOTE: If you have a Telehop Free Minutes Card, you may enter the PIN found at the back of the card. This will let you use whatever minutes you have on the card instead of your regular Telehop account (if you have one). If you need to switch back to using your Telehop account, simply enter the Activation PIN you had received via SMS.
- Tap on 'Update Profile' once more.
That's it! You are now ready to make calls.
Placing a call with the Telehop app:
From your Android device:
- To start using the service, launch the Telehop app.
- Select a contact from your contacts list, or enter the phone number you wish to call.
From your Android tablet:
- To start using the service, launch the Telehop app.
- Go to Settings, and set Call Type to either "VoIP WiFi" or "VoIP Data."
- Go back to Settings, and and click Done.
- Select a contact from your contacts list, or enter the phone number you wish to call.
*You must have WiFi or 3G connectivity on your Android tablet to be able to use the Telehop app.
